Resistance is bound to rear its head and make a dramatic impact in your business and keep you feeling stuck and your profits in limbo.
This is due to business being an organic process and hitting the next level of success in your business requires change. It could be a change of systems, hiring staff, outsourcing tasks, building a website, giving up your second job, attending networking events, facilitating workshops, doing Facebook lives or finally taking the plunge and setting up an accounting system.
Instinctively, most people don’t like change.
It’s easier for things to keep rolling along the way they are and everything stays the same. After all, it takes less effort – it’s what you know and you feel safe operating in your comfort zone.
Stepping outside of your comfort zone is scary as hell and can leave you feeling frozen with fear.
Here’s the thing though…. It’s okay to be scared. Being scared means you’re about to do something really; really brave that will take your business to the next level.
Your business will grow if you are willing to feel scared, uncomfortable, and awkward yet take the risk to step outside of your comfort zone and take action.
Stepping outside of your comfort zone brings up unconscious beliefs, fears, and blocks, which creates resistance.
The most frustrating aspect is that you consciously desire those changes that lay outside of your comfort zone, however, there is a wall of resistance that keeps smacking you down.
It can be soul destroying and chips away at your confidence and self-worth, which results in feeling like a failure. It’s easy to give up at this stage and perhaps you have many times before.
Hang in here! That resistance is crucial to your business success.
Did you know that it is your unconscious mind that is driving the resistance?
When you are feeling overwhelmed with emotions, it’s next to impossible to find the “right words” to say in order to begin using Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) commonly referred to as Tapping.
Using EFT is a rapid way to restore calm and to lower your emotional intensity very quickly. However, when you are upset it’s really difficult to find the words, especially if you are deeply distressed.
Check out the short EFT Video below, “How to Use EFT When You Are Upset”, to learn how.
My recommendation is to randomly practice tapping on the meridian points in order to become comfortable with tapping. That way if you find yourself in deep distress it may feel more comfortable to use the tapping.
When we start a Tapping sequence with EFT, we begin with tapping on our karate chop point on the side of our hand. Often clients have questions in regards to which hand to begin tapping on.

Emotional Freedom Technique (“EFT”), which is commonly referred to as “tapping” or “tapping therapy”, is an evidence based form of psychological acupressure used world-wide in treating stress, trauma, depression, fears, pain, limiting beliefs, phobias, addictions just to name a few.
Tapping is one of the fastest and easiest ways to address both the emotional and physical problems that tend to hamper our lives. I have been using tapping (Thought Field Therapy & EFT) with clients and in my own healing journey for well over 15 years.
Often referred to as acupuncture without needles, EFT tapping involves locating and tapping on meridian points in the body while focusing on particular negative emotions or physical sensations to alter the body’s energy flow, restore balance and reprogram thought processes.
The tapping helps calm the nervous system to restore the balance of energy in the body, and in turn rewire the brain to respond in healthy ways.
